What is French framing?"
Join us and have fun handmade decorating frames to adorn your wonderful pictures!
French framing 'Encadrement ' is a craftsmanship technique that originated in Europe. The purpose of framing is to protect the artwork with a wooden frame, mat mount and acrylic board to prevent deterioration and enhance the work. Unlike Japanese artisanal framing, in France, framing is the work of a professional and can also be used to decorate the walls of your home! Learn techniques and create your own original artwork!
French framing
The history of framing began in the 16th century with the most classical technique, the Lavis, and since then, with the evolution of paper and tools, various techniques have been created. Based on traditional techniques, it has now developed into free creation, with endless variations.
Use your imagination and sense of freedom to expand your image, design, add colour and three-dimensionality to create your 'one and only' original work of art! The perfect gift for that special someone. You choose your favourite card and the matching coloured paper, and then use the kit to finish it off!
You will learn the basics and gradually progress to the more advanced skills, so it's not difficult to learn. Beginners are welcome!
