Profile of lecturer Ouko Iwamoto

She has been practising Japanese calligraphy since she was a child and has run the Sunao Japanese calligraphy school in Nishikyogoku, Ukyo-ku since March 2022.

She was also fascinated by 'brush letter art', which is written with a brush pen, and attended the 'Brush Sense Art' (brush lettering course) run by Ms Yukari Tomita, and became a fourth-year student of Brush Sense Art.

She later held regular monthly 'Sunao Brush Lettering Workshop' in her own Japanese calligraphy class.

In the 'Sunao Brush Lettering Workshop', she conveys the joy of writing (drawing) to as many people as possible, transcending age, gender and nationality! Let's run the brush pen with your sincere thoughts and feelings!
